This was our 2nd time with Josh as our fishing guide. We could not have asked for a better experience-both times. Today we took our son and 9 year old grandson. Josh made sure each of us had an incredible time. He knew exactly where to take us. The 1st trip was Lake Texoma a couple years ago but it is currently flooded and the fishing isn’t very good so he suggested we go to Lake Tawakoni. It was a bit further drive but SO WORTH IT!! Our grandson said he’s never had more fun in his life and our son was so surprised how many fish we caught in such a short time. We were all reeling them in for 2.5 hours, smiling the entire time and came home with 5 gallon freezer bags full of filets-which Josh did for us back at the dock. He baits every hook, untangles lines, gives tips on how to catch more and is just a kind, patient and fun guy. If you’re looking for and incredible and experienced guide, you won’t find one better than Josh! Thank you so much for helping g us make awesome memories!! Can’t wait until next time!

My dad and I got the opportunity to go down to Lake Texoma to fish with Josh at Southern Wind Guide Service. He did an amazing job from the initial conversation and planning up front through the day of fishing. He did a wonderful job of getting plenty of bait for us the morning of our trip before we had arrived to the dock. He had already scoped out the reports and his spots before we went out to make sure there was going to be action for us. He got us on a steady pace with fish the whole time we were out on the water. He did a great job cleaning and bagging fish, making sure to even trim out the red meat. I had a blast during our time with him getting to have some fun conversation and enjoy some time with my dad. Would have no hesitation in hiring him to guide us again for another round!
Josh was a wonderful, knowledgeable and very patient guide for my group of mostly inexperienced boys. We certainly put him to the test a few times and he kept the net handy and us baited up and in the water as good as anyone could ask for! We had a great time and we each caught several fish including several good sized bass that put up a good fight getting them to the boat! I would highly recommend him as a guide. He knows his stuff and showed confidence in his ability to find the fish and it paid off. Don’t hesitate, book the trip. We did and had a great time!
