Captain Stephen operates a custom-built 26-foot Falcon center console, a spacious and stable “fishing machine” designed specifically for the chop of Lake Texoma. This boat comfortably accommodates up to six anglers, providing individual seating and plenty of room for gear. Every trip is fully inclusive of high-quality rods, reels, and all lures, and Stephen is more than happy to provide casting lessons for beginners or children to ensure everyone is successful.
At the end of your four-to-five-hour “hunt,” the service includes professional fish cleaning and filleting, ensuring your catch is ready for the table. Striper Hunters / Captain Stephen is the best. We were catching way more fish than the other boats. He knows the lake like his backyard. He'll put you on the fish. If there's no fish, he moves to where the fish are. He's very serious about his job; making sure you catch fish, and big fish! If he detects a school of small fish, he'll often pass by to get you onto bigger fish. There were Three of us and we all caught fish and limited out. We were worn out at the end of our trip, from fishing and reeling in fish. It may only be a four hour trip, but trust me, you'll be worn out afterwards, and you'll definitely sleep well that night. Though the water was rough, with whitecaps at times, his boat is extremely smooth. No bouncing around and no gear shaking around all over the boat. Captain Stephen is likewise a very nice guy and a very accommodating guide. He WANTS you to catch fish and changes tactics and techniques, as needed, in order to make sure you do. He is liked by other fishing guides and they work together as a team to put you on the fish. This was near the top, if not the the BEST fishing trip I've ever had.

I cannot recommend Captain Stephen enough. We drove all the way from Minnesota to get the full striper experience on Lake Texoma and Stephen made it happen. We fished two mornings with Stephen, catching our limit both mornings with ease with some huge 30”+ fish to boot, which were released. Captain Stephen is very attentive, knowledgeable, and experienced. He made sure to give us every opportunity to catch fish, weather it was giving us his rod when he hooked up, taking your fish off for you so you can get your line back in the water as soon as possible, or knowing all the spots to get on fish... not to mention dropping a line down with some fresh bait on it back at the marina while he cleaned our fish to catch some beautiful blue catfish. If you want to catch Stripers on Lake Texoma, Stephen is your guy, hands down. We will be coming back and booking Stephen again for another unforgettable experience. Thank you so much, Stephen!
We were originally looking to get out to Lake Texoma, but mother nature had other ideas, and Steven called an audible and got us out on Lake Tawakani. By late morning some of the cloud cover had burned off and he got us on a hotspot where we were able to meet our fish quota. We have already started talking about booking the next fishing excursion with Steven for either later this summer or next year. Five stars, would recommend.
Steve took my 3 boys and I out and we had a great time. My boys are beginners and he took the time to help them learn the new fishing equipment prior to getting started then supported their learning throughout the day. This is the most fish my kids have ever caught- great day all around!
